unfortunately, again i was MIA and in hospital. this time for blood cloats. i was not a happy camper when they found out that i have cloating in both legs, stomach and near IVC filter. the surgery went well and i am now on blood thinners and close monitoring. well another doctor in my calendar….

So after trying it out i finally got the bike and with help of my friends, otko, family….. maybe one day i will win an olympic medal hihi….

I got home happy, hopefully soon to be healthy. And ready for my vacation in Croatia.
Therapy was discontinued on june 30 as i was hospitalized n local hospital with pulmunary problems- bronchotidis. i hope to get out from hospital as soon as possible.
Therapy is going well…. getting stronger… highlight so far is trying handbike and meeting slovak paraolympic coach; he is pretty serious abt training me and getting me into cycling hihi. Anyways … here is the photo.
Finally felt strong enough to push my manual chair by myself. From 8am to 11.30 am my therapy consist of lifting, biking, standing and pushing chair, group therapy…. 1 vweek gone 4 to go!
packing for Slovakia…leaving May 26 …. going to Kovacova for rehab and going to work remotely…. looking forward to it!
felt like pushing my artistic me to the reality…. and just spent couple of hours painting and the weather was awesome!
My standing frame arrived, finally. so now i incorporate to my routine standing up to 30min at first then increase it to 1,5 hours.
Well it was so sunny i got fever but before that i played ping pong as my new therapy sport!

After i completed my therapy at Burke I am pretty much working on my own. I am biking on completely new Motomed that i got from Obie Harrington-Howe Foundation and its awesome. Biking using arms for 30 minutes and 60-90 min using my legs. Thank you Obie for improwing my quality of life!

The speaking arrangement was set at Stamford High School, April 9, 9 am. I did not expect to talk about my story infront of 120 kids. it brought me to my high school age when life was invicible ? i talked abt my story, my accident , my safety pin points etc.
I was talking abt 20min and thought was just enough to motivate folks to stay safe/i hope at least 1 student took it to heart……… i am scheduled to deliver a speech April 30.
Went for my cat scan 3 days ago… and the neck is healing pretty nicely as Dr. Simon said…… not sure what that means……. to bad that my nerves are not easily healing or reconnecting as quickly as the bones…. so much for mother nature right? patience exercises….
I still cannot believe that I had two boxes of T-shirts that me and my great friend ala netroute made from scratch…. perhaps this could be a venue to raise funds for my ongoing therapy and medical bills……… I’ve posted on Facebook but I wish to include it also here. my therapy will end in week- will take a little break i guess…..after that will relay on home exercises, motomed, soon the stand up machine that suppose to come and will prepare for summer.
I can concentrate on raising funds for more therapy; exercises with Dr. Romanov, soccer season and trip home….
public speaking for me? well believe or not i accepted this VIP… voice in public arrangement to prevent injuries for others………

With my therapist Barrie we continue to strengthen my arms my posture by sitting, using my elbows to balance. She’s pretty cool little hard-core at times but I don’t mind the beating. I’m including some pictures. Our main goal is to try to access as much as I can in order to get out of the bed. The little strange still. She thinks that I should take a break from therapy from Burke some rethinking to have a discharge date in April.
I had my first session yesterday; even though it was blue sky it was very educational. Dr. Romanov , http://www.posetech.com/pose_method/DrNicholasRomanov.html has a history of doing things differently. I feel lucky to have his time and hope it will not be a waste. He is all about perception / in other words he supports what I definitely believe in I need something else in addition to traditional physical therapy lifting weights etc. there is so much you can’t do with only a repetitive motion. I need to recover my flow of energy and unitized my body as right now it feels scattered. He’s pretty busy but I hope to get some it’s time and work with him for next months.
Was really surprised but got award infront 400 soccer folks. it was great to catch up with Victor, Austin, Magnus, Phil, Shawn…
I am slowly moving towards coaching and hope to get back to it soon…..
